Afternoon athletics is a long-standing tradition in boarding schools, and a requirement at Saint Thomas More School. Each student must participate in a program of physical fitness
and training during the athletic period. We make a strong attempt to insure each student receives the opportunity to compete on our interscholastic teams. Some
opt for intramural activities or individual sports, such as weight-training and swimming.
SUCKS TO BE YOU -->
At all levels, emphasis is placed
on the development of good sportsmanship, competitiveness, self-discipline and confidence. Each student's athletic experience is designed to provide him with a chance to engage in satisfying
athletic challenges, as well as to provide a counterbalance to academic pressures.
Saint Thomas More School competes with other prestigious New England prep schools as a
member of the Southeastern New England Athletic Conference (SENE) division of the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC).
Physical education is taught by our dedicated coaching staff.
Each boy develops character and skills through personal motivation and instruction. We also emphasize the development of skills in activities which our young men
hopefully will enjoy throughout their adult lives.
