Many employers deduct contributions from payroll and send it to the United
Way. The United Way supports hundreds of human service agencies, like BLESS
USA. You can choose to direct your United Way contribution at your
workplace to BLESS USA. Even if BLESS USA is not listed as a
member agency in their directory, United Way will still send your contribution
to BLESS USA, since we are a nonprofit organization, tax-exempt under 501 (c)
(3). This excellent opportunity directs your workplace contribution to
the less fortunate in Egypt.
Simply indicate on
your campaign designation form that you wish to designate a specific
agency. If you do not find BLESS USA listed as a member agency in the
directory, write BLESS USA as the name of the agency, and provide the
contact information (PO Box 384, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009, (973)
857-4299).
If you have
contributed $250 or more, you will receive a tax acknowledgment letter from
United Way at the end of January. Contributions less than $250, and made
through payroll deductions, are reflected on the December 31st paycheck
statement. This statement substantiates the year's United Way donations in
accordance with IRS regulations.
