The Foundation II Program establishes a comprehensive foundation of knowledge, skills, and understanding essential for instructional leaders committed to improved student learning. As a result, Foundation II participants forge a vision of powerful teaching, learning, and leadership that becomes the primary reference for their day-to-day work.
What the Foundation II Program can do for
you!
These are exciting and challenging times in education. The
Foundation II Program provides participants with powerful training to
plan and implement significant school improvement actions. This
multi-year CSLA Program engages participants in analyzing classroom
activities in relationship to the school vision; examining key issues
in curriculum planning, instructional delivery, and assessment;
examining resources available for enhancing the curriculum;
identifying implementation issues; and devising strategies for
implementing the vision.

Earn Credit Towards Tier II Administrative
Credential!
Universities are now implementing the professional level
program requirements for the recently revised Administrative
Credential. One aspect of this new plan allows students to take up to
120 hours of their training in approved non-university programs. The
California School Leadership Academy (CSLA) was the first
non-university provider approved for this purpose.
Students interested in applying their Foundation II program attendance to their Tier II program should confer with their university advisor and then contact the San Joaquin Valley School Leadership Center.
For further clarification on credential requirements, please call
your university advisor or Dr. Larry Birch, Commission on Teacher
Credentialing at (916) 327-2967.
