RECRUITMENT/SUITABILITY SESSION
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
8:30 a.m.

Residents of Madera County who are interested in job training services through the Private Industry Council (PIC), must first attend a Recruitment/Suitability Session. This three hour session is intended to give you an overview of our training programs, services available and to find out if you are suitable for training.

As part of our Suitability process, we require applicants to have eighth grade or above reading and math computation skills, to participate in our training programs. We determine these levels by administering a basic skills test to all applicants, during the Recruitment/Suitability Session. If you do not possess the basic reading and math skills necessary to participate at this time, we encourage you to get the assistance you need at the local adult schools. There, you will be able to brush up on the skills necessary for training, to prepare for the next time you apply.

If you do not have a High School Diploma or GED, and your basic skill levels are at the eighth grade or above, the local adult schools can assist you in attaining your certificate or diploma. If the training program you have selected requires a GED or diploma, we may be able to assist you in obtaining it.(See
Resources  for contact information)
