LMI/CCOIS LABOR MARKET
ANALYSIS The Labor Market Analysis is an annual study conducted to help improve the match between the labor needs of employers and the skills of job seekers by providing current, localized occupational information. The program is produced locally through a partnership between the Madera County Private Industry Council and the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD), Labor Market Information Division (LMID). The program is produced as part of a state-wide project called the California Cooperative Occupational Information System (CCOIS). The report which is a comprehensive study of 74 occupations presents the most important findings from the recently completed project. It identifies the region's strengths and weaknesses, contains specific local information on training and experience requirements, wages, benefits, and employment and industry trends. The data is collected by survey from local employers and training providers. The document is also accessible in portable document format (PDF) at http://www.calmis.cahwnet.ca.gov Adobe Acrobat Reader free software is required to download and view PDF files. The Madera County Private Industry
Council and the State of California Employment Development Department - Labor Market
Division have made a substantial effort to ensure the accuracy of the information
contained in this report. We are committed to exceptional standards of research and
to high quality labor market information for local users. Labor market research is
often impacted by a variety of factors in a short period of time. Therefore, the
data must be viewed as a photograph which captures a picture of reality at a specific
period in time when the research was done. To review the 1998 Madera County
