Office of Public Affairs

With responsibility for the public affairs program of NASULGC, the office works closely with the president's office, councils and commissions, and external higher education associations to fulfill its mission to set public affairs policy and serve as the association's primary communications and publication's unit. The staff produces NASULGC's Newsline, the association's monthly newsletter; gathers and distributes membership data and other resource materials on higher education public policy issues; and works closely with the electronic and print news media and member university administrators who have primary responsibility for fund raising, media relations, publications and alumni affairs. The office disseminates information on NASULGC programs and policies through a variety of communications channels including news briefings, official publications, videos and the Internet, and by holding meetings that interpret and promote higher education. Its most recent responsibility is managing the association's website.

NASULGC's Council on University Relations and Development (CURD) including chief campus administrators involved in university relations, fund-raising, public information, media relations, publications, and alumni programs at member institutions serves as an advisory group for the Office of Public Affairs.
