Welcome to the Laredo Independent School District's Web Site.  We are located in Laredo, Texas right on the Texas-Mexico Border.  We have three High Schools, one Magnet School, four Middle Schools, twenty-one Elementaries, and one Alternative School scattered throughout Central-South-West Laredo.  We currently have 24,000 students enrolled in the District.

The Mission of the Laredo Independent School District is to provide a quality education to the students of LISD.   The students and teachers are the District's important assets, and the District is committed towards the enhancement of academic achievement, the provision of a safe environment, and the   search for excellence at every level of the District.
