PRODUCTS
Fujitsu manufactures a complete range of microwave Field Effect Transistors for use in
communications and radar systems. These applications include cellular and wireless phone
and LAN systems, terrestrial radio, satellites and satellite systems, phased array radar,
DBS receivers, etc.
Fujitsu announced the first power GaAs FET in 1973 and the first HEMT in 1980. Since
then, Fujitsu has developed an extensive offering of discrete GaAs FETs and Integrated
Devices using GaAs technology.
The technologies used by Fujitsu are at the leading edge of the microwave semiconductor
industry and include submicron patterning, silicon nitride passivation, air bridge
crossovers, via hole source grounding, plated heat sink, and low parasitic packages.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY
In 1984, Fujitsu established its
Fujitsu Quantum Devices
facility entirely dedicated to the production of compound semiconductor devices. This
facility has in excess of 250,000 square feet of clean room and is equipped with the latest
in automated manufacturing equipment. It is presently one of the most advanced GaAs
manufacturing facilities in the world.
SERVICE
Fujitsu Compound Semiconductor, Inc. (FCSI), as the primary sales organization for Fujtisu's
compound semiconductors, has established a world wide network of offices and representatives
to provide the best possible service to its customers. FCSI has established a complete
applications and design facility in the United States to supplement Fujitsu's facilities
in Japan. In addition to its headquarters for sales and support activity in San Jose,
California, direct sales offices are presently located in New Jersey, and (through an
affiliate) in the United Kingdom. All FCSI personnel are sensitive to customer needs and
strive for maximum customer satisfaction.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
The quality of Fujitsu's semiconductors is established during the design process and it is
further enhanced and implemented through careful attention to detail and precision
manufacturing.
Fujitsu performs all wafer process, assembly, screening tests, inspections and quality
assurance tests in a controlled production line environment in accordance with Fujitsu's
Quality Assurance Standards to achieve the highest quality and best reliablity.
Most devices listed in this catalog can be provided in screened versions patterned after
JANTXV (Fujitsu HL) or JANS (Fujitsu SHL) levels of quality conformance and reliablity.
Information on screening flow diagrams and inspection criteria is available on request
from FCSI.
