1 April 2001-- Tired of scanning
images to a floppy disk? Well, it's now possible to save images
to a CD. Just bring in your own recordable CD and ask a librarian
to show you how to do it.

The AUS Library is now open to serve you every day of the Spring Semester.
In addition to our regular weekday and Friday hours, the library will be
open from 9 am to 5:30 pm on Thursdays.

06-NOV-00 -- General Science Database
and expanded ABI Inform are now available. General Science covers biology,
chemistry, physics and more. ABI Inform now includes over 1000 journals
in the Global Edition. Both are available through ProQuest. Try
them!
04-OCT-00 -- New at the library!
JSTOR database is now available. JSTOR is a unique digital archive
of over 100 core scholarly journals, with some material reaching back over
100 years. Economics, History, Humanities and other Social Sciences are
covered. Try

20-SEPT-00 -- Whole books online!
Check out the UAE's first academic "netLibrary". Available only to AUS
students, faculty and staff, follow this
link to visit the AUS netLibrary. Find out what e-books are
all about.
14-SEP-00 — It's "ON RESERVE" in the
library. Your professor may have readings or assignments on reserve
in the library. It's easy to use them. Just ask at the circulation
desk near the front door, present your ID, and use the materials for up
to 2 hours.
23-AUG-00 — Announcing the first outdoor
book drop in the UAE! Books may now be returned 24 hours a day to
our book drop on the walkway near the University bookstore. Click

16-AUG-00 — Extended loans are now
available to AUS faculty! Books can now be borrowed for up to 90
days. See our "Loan Policies" for details.
12-AUG-00 — New music has arrived!
Due to popular demand, more CDs of Arabic music have been added
to the collection. New popular, jazz and classical titiles are in
stock, too.
18-JUL-00 — Faculty may now borrow
journals for up to three days. Current issues and certain titles
are excluded. Visit the library for specific information.
