Back in 1984, when I was nine, my dad came home with our first computer. After it was all set up and dad finally gave me some time at the keyboard, I was hooked. If an old 8 MHz with the turbo button (to go a lightning fast 33 MHz) can get a person interested in computers, just think of what today has to offer. Now, you can go out and purchase a 1.5 GHz computer that makes some of us wonder how we managed to use the old machines at all. With cable and DSL hook-ups to the Internet, you can speed your way from here to there and off to the next site in the blink of a eye.
