QUEST
QUEST is a five-year, collaborative research project to better understand how schools can create
continuous school improvement that leads to increased student learning. QUEST does not
promote specific programs, but instead offers a set of core beliefs to
guide schools on a never-ending journey of collective inquiry.
QUEST's framework for continuous improvement provides
resources for those wanting to better understand the theory base.
Processes used by schools engaged in the QUEST project involve
the broader school community in setting a vision and
establishing directions and goals.
QUEST sponsors workshops and conferences, as well as onsite
training. Inquiry, reflection, dialogue, and storytelling are the major vehicles used in these
conferences. To find out how to become a QUEST school,

QUEST is but one of many vehicles for school improvement. QUEST
staff collaborate with other regional educational laboratories through the School Change Collaborative,
headed by the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory.
