3dfx open source archives Posted Tuesday, December 7 2:20 by armin
For those buffs out there with a 3dfx board: you may want to surf over to the comrades at 3dfx and more specifically, their new Linux open source site.

Not only did they open source Glide, they also provide all the card specs you may need. Go 3dfx! Nice to see they came to the same conclusion I yelled off the rooftops some 9 months ago.

3dfx to support DRI Posted Monday, August 9 12:09 by dropn
According to this article over at quicken.com, 3Dfx plans to add support for Precision Insight's Direct Rendering Infrastructure in their future drivers, which should greatly improve speed and efficiency in all opengl applications. Of course, you will have to wait till a XFree86 4.0 release or pre-release is available that these drivers will work with, but hopefully this will be fairly soon.
