Cohen, Ph.D. Offers a challenging academic environment Columbus Torah Academy is a private, co-educational Jewish day school for students in pre-Kindergarten through Twelfth grade. The school serves the entire Jewish community of central Ohio, providing a comprehensive program of Jewish studies, Hebrew language and general studies that meets the highest academic standards. The school's programs are designed to accommodate the individual student's needs and to encourage self-confidence and academic excellence. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that respects diversity within our school and our community. PurposeColumbus Torah Academy's major goals are:
HistoryColumbus Torah Academy has served the Columbus Jewish Community proudly for more than 40 years. The school was established in 1958, after several years of effort by devoted local leaders. It included grades kindergarten through eight, and was housed in Agudas Achim Synagogue from 1958-1972 and in Temple Israel from 1972-1975. In September 1975, CTA moved to its current location, a scenic 25-acre tract located at 181 Noe Bixby Road. The high school began with a ninth grade class in 1991. A new class was added each year until CTA had a complete upper school. The high school's first graduation was held in 1995. That fall, a pre-kindergarten program was added to the school. Thus, CTA has grown from a primary and middle school into a full campus, serving students in pre-K through twelfth grade. The key to our success is providing an individualized curriculum to meet the needs of every student.
