The Haltech IG5 is the perfect solution for those wishing to upgrade their fuel-only system at a later date to control ignition timing as well , or for those who want to convert their distributor based system to that of a direct-fire ignition system.

Features of the IG5 include up to 22 ignition timing MAPS, with one every 500rpm, and 32 adjustment points per MAP for load adjustment. A choice of MAP sensors is available to suit the type of engine you are using. 1-BAR for aspirated engines , 2-BAR for supercharged or turbocharged engines up to 14psi boost , and the 3-BAR sensor for engines up to 28psi boost.
Along with this there are correction graphs, with 32 adjustment points, each for coolant temp , air temp , cranking , and rotary trailing split timing adjustment for engine load and rpm.
Basically it has the same adjustments as the ignition-side of the E6 systems , along with the ability to control a number of programmable output options listed under the E6 and F9 sections.
