Usenet is already a tremendously valuable resource, but by its very nature it is transient. Although there are services that archive Usenet news, they have their idiosyncrasies and limitations and aren't too helpful if you need to get a good overview of a single, well-defined topic. We have several months of comp.sys.be Usenet news archived here , and are collecting more daily. It represents a shared body of knowledge that has proven itself immeasurably valuable to hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of people, and we want to be sure that this knowledge is protected and preserved for the entire Be community.
