How to WEBDESK

The Berrien County Board Of Education has been offered the use of WebDesk software for managing and tracking technology request.  This software will allow the end user and technology support personnel more interaction.  This interaction will lead to better use of technology in the schools (by having less downtime). 

 

The use of this product is very intuitive. 

1.  The first time you login click on the icon that says  "I am a new user"

2.  Enter your first and last name

3.  Enter your user name (I suggest that you use the same username as your network login name)

4.  Enter your password (I suggest that you use the same password as your network login)

5.  Enter email address (Please use your school email address ... mine is jharrell@berrien.k12.ga.us), location, room number, skip phone number and skip other number.

6.  Review the information to verify that it is correct.

7.  You are now ready to enter a technology request.  You will be back at the login screen, please enter your login name and password that you just setup in steps 1-6.

8.  Please enter a subject and description of the problem that you are having.

Once this information is entered we will be able to access this information from anywhere in the district.  Once we have this information we can do several things with it.  We have the ability to reply to the message and possibly give you step by step instructions on how to fix the problem, or we may ask for more information to help us better understand the problem.  In order to get the reply from us you would need to login again and click on the ticket.

You can have as many open tickets as you want.
