 During its 50 years old existence the Secondary Technical School Myjava has educated 5008 graduates of full–time and part-time education. Quality of graduates classifies our school among school institutions of high standing in Slovakia.

At present the full–time study in all branches is four–year and ends by the school–leaving examination.

The curricula in all branches contain:

• humanities subjects (Slovak language and literature, foreign languages, history, ecology)
• sciene subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry)
• physical education
• basic specialized subjects which provide general knowlendge and skills
• informatics and computer technique
• economic subjects (economy, marketing, management, accounting)
• special professional subjects which provide new special knowledge in studying field (NC machines, design by computer, mechatronics, pneumatics, work with Internet etc.)
• optional subjects

The school premises and material conditions are on a good level. The school building consists of three communicating blocks. In the main edifice there are classrooms and administration. Four classrooms of informatics with PC AT, computers, classroom of pneumatics, electropneumatics, electrohydraulics, electronics and microprocessors are new built and equiped. In the second edifice there are mechanical and electro-workshops, laboratories, two classrooms of typewriting, classrooms of technical drawing, lounge. The third edifice is a new modern gymnasium with exercice room. The playing – fields and athletic track adjoin the school.

In out – of – school activities our students can take part in subject´s competitions, secondary – school specialized activities, different sport and hobby groups. They also publish their own student´s newspaper.

In the first form students can take the driving licence for motorbike and later, in the fourth form, the driving licence group A, B.

On the basis of the long friendshisp with teaching institution in Germany the graduates of our school can continue their higher education at Staatliche Studienakademie Bautzen, Germany. In terms of project Socrates we cooperate with Koninklijk Technisch Atheneum 2 DIEST, Belgium.
