.....Athol High School is the sole public school serving the towns of Athol and Royalston, located in northern Worcester County in Central Massachusetts. A manufacturing community comprised of two towns, 11 miles south of New Hampshire and 75 miles west of Boston. Athol High School is located on the southeast side of Athol at the junction of Routes 2A (Main Street) and 32 on the shores of Lake Ellis. The school building and grounds are well maintained, and security problems are few.
.....Athol High School, a comprehensive high school for grades 9, 10, 11 and 12, presently enrolls 577 students. Ninety-one percent of the district’s students reside in Athol and 9% reside in Royalston. Students can also attend Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School located 25 miles to the east in Fitchburg.
