First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for many of us at the IT Lab. We're all (or at least I am) excited about going back to school. It's been quite a while for some of us. I'm sure we'll soon wake up to the reality that we're a bunch of morons for voluntarily subjecting ourselves to more school.

This is early but I have not posted a story for awhile. :) Mollie's birthday is Saturday!!! WOO HOO!!
Happy early Birthday Mollie. :) A small party may be at 6 paddlecreek but it is not known yet. We will see.
Anyway, as plans progress posts will be made. Start making plans for Saturday!

Here are the pictures taken during and after the trip to ORU. They are not that good, but some of them are funny. There are alot of the praying hands. And the prayer tower! Those were the most exciting things! Click here to see the pictures. They have captions. :)

New Roomates!

Today I called the people at the CaroIina Basset Hound Rescue. They tell me about two 1 year old male Basset Hounds that have been living in a foster home in Monck's Corner for a week. Barry (my little brother), my Dad , and I go to their foster family in Monck's Corner to look at them. They're brothers. They were born on the fourth of July, 1999. They love eachother. I couldn't say no, and I couldn't separate them. We welcome Chester and Charlie into our happy home.

I have two mistakes that I made. One is allready posted on the last story but I think it deserves more. I am sorry to notgroovy for deleting his story. Forgive me, I abused my power without even looking to see that the post was about Iron Chef. Also, THIS IS NOT THE LAST THIRSTY THURSDAY! I just read on the web site that there is another home game on the 31st of this month. And that is a THURSDAY!! So this is the second to last. :) So start making plans Mojo. :)

The last Thirsty Thursday is amoung us. Tommrow ( August 17th) is the last time the Riverdogs play on a thursday. It will be a time of both joy and sadness. We can reflect on thirsy thursday pasts and celebrate this last thirsty thursday! So everyone needs to come. Everyone needs to drink!! It will be a long drought till next year. :(

Anyway, after many hours at Vickery's downtown, and one viscious bar tab, we wondered over to the "Tinder Box" on Meeting St. One of Joan's friends was a cigar fanatic and treated us to a few Cohibas and a new bar tab. Needless to say, I was shocked to see Mojo like that; kicking back one newcastle after another, and a few shots as well, while puffing on a cigar. After more than a decade, he can still surprise me! I would have killed for a camera! Even Joan was shocked and was wishing she had known that she had some party animals in the department. :-) "

Far and Away......

Ok. We are here safe in Tulsa, Ok. But not without a story. We left Beaufort around 12:00 am friday afternoon. We then passed by Taladega ( Travis can spell this ) And arrived in West Memphis, Arkansas around 12:00 am that night. It was uneventfull. I wanted to stay in Memphis. Anyway, we got up the next morning and began the second half of the trip. We had this cloth/nylon luggage rack with a few suit cases in it. After an hour of travel down the wonderfull Arkansas highway the luggage rack came loose. I yelled out many profanities as Eli grabbed for the cord. He lost his grip and the luggage rack shoots high into the air. It was airborn for about 1 minute. Or it seemed that way. It was like watching it in slow motion through some movie. Anyway, as it was begining to land a 18 wheeler hit it head on exploding the luggage rack, suitcases , and everything in it onto the highway. All the clothes and things went everywhere. All over the highway. We stopped the car and the truck driver stopped too. He apoligized for not avoiding the luggage rack and drove off. The next hour we cleaned everything we could off the highway. We then began our trip again and 6 hours later we are here in Tulsa. And I have to go eat now. Pictures and more posts will come. I hope. :)

6 Paddlecreek Avenue, Charleston SC is where Tofu, Twavy, and Robert eat , sleep, bathe, and watch tv (sometimes). We do other stuff here too. This site is hosted by computers that are in the house. Video and voice will be broadcasted out of the house. So, if you care you can enjoy the goings on at paddlecreek avenue. Various news and stories will be posted. I am thinking of putting up a Twavy section. :) |
