E-Tad 2000 Update

Provider Preview

  • We would like to thank all the providers who took the time out of their busy days to assist us in previewing the new application. Without your input this project would still be on the drawing board.
  • Provider feedback indicated that the new electronic billing process was easy to use and more efficient than the current process.
  • Some improvements as suggested by participating providers have been added.

What's Happening Right Now?

  • In house final testing is taking place at this time.
  • Secure Internet connections are being established for easy download and uploading of TAD files.

What’s Next??

Recently MAA distributed memo 00-13 regarding the new E-TAD process and requirements.

Here is some additional information about the E-Tad Project that was not mentioned in the memo:

  • PC with Windows 95 or later.
  • Internet access to allow downloading and uploading of Tad files.
  • Internet Explorer 5 Browser (available free of charge from Microsoft website).
  • The ETAD 2000 program will be furnished by MAA at no cost to the providers.

At this time the Department of Information Services is planning to implement a higher security standard to protect provider and client data traveling through the Internet. Guidelines are being outlined and full implementation of E-TAD 2000 will begin after these guidelines have been established.

The pilot is set to begin for June 2000 dates of service only for the 40 providers that participated in our initial workshop in November of 1999.

For those providers who have volunteered to do live testing, we will be contacting you prior to the mailing of the June TADs. If you have volunteered and have not heard from us by June20th, please contact Mary Fry via telephone at  360-725-1066 or e-mail  fryml@dshs.wa.gov.
