NASHVILLE, TN — (BUSINESS WIRE) — February 8,
2000 — NEXTLINK Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXLK) has contracted with Equinox to
upgrade NEXTLINK’s 30-switch network to ShowCDR Deluxe, a sophisticated software
system that gives carriers advanced means to view, search, and report call records from
their PCs. The upgrade will expedite NEXTLINK’s fraud prevention process by providing
real-time access to call detail records (CDRs) for immediate investigation of potential
fraud.

ShowCDR Deluxe is a menu-driven system that enables
carriers to extract data from call detail records using sophisticated search techniques on
any field or combination of values. A Report Generator allows users to create customized
call reports by selecting and sorting call records based on any field, which provides
users great flexibility in extracting information to create meaningful at-a-glance
reports. Reports can also be exported to any spreadsheet or database applications for
further customization.
