Warehousing

Warehousing Services receives and excesses federal property, transferring it to the appropriate destinations.  We also store equipment, furniture and bulk materials.

For all DOT organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area we receive, report, excess and transfer personal property, and provide truck service between the DOT Headquarters buildings and the warehouse in Landover, MD.

We store furniture and bulk materials for DOT organizations ~ such as desks, chairs, computers, and carpeting ~ items which are not currently in use but need to be held for future use.

We transfer ownership of excess computer equipment directly to schools and other non-profit educational organizations.  A preference is given to schools and non-profit organizations located in a Federal Empowerment Zone or Enterprise Community.
