 Brigadier General Shea serves as the Assistant Chief of Staff for the Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence Department (AC/S C4I), Headquarters, U. S. Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. His duties include being the Director of Intelligence and the Chief Information Officer. He assumed his duties on 10 July 1998.

The Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence is Mr. Michael H. Decker.

The Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for C4I Systems Integration is Ms. Debra M. Filippi.
