Film Processing
Cuztom is a member of Kodak's "Q-Lab" quality assurance program and provides top-notch E-6 processing for Ektachome, Fujichrome, and other compatible film types. We operate the only pink film processor in the known world. It was custom-built for us by Refrema in Sweden.
We operate a Sitte-Tischer C-41 processor for color negative film processing. This one was built in Germany. (Sorry, not available in pink.)
Type C Prints & Murals
These are custom color prints made from color negatives. Dodging, burning, cropping, specific sizing and color correcting are the attributes of custom C prints. Available in your choice of Lustre or Glossy finish. For retouching purposes, specify Lustre finish. Custom C prints are used in nearly all applications in the photographic industry, ranging from reproduction work to gigantic tradeshow displays to sales books to color comprehensive work prints. Duratrans Display Films
These are backlit display translucencies produced from color negatives. They are typically used in the display and tradeshow industries for installation in light boxes. Dodging, burning, cropping, specific sizing, and color correcting are all done as a common practice. The lighting standard for backlit displays is Cool-White Deluxe fluorescent bulbs. We will correct color to this standard unless you tell us to use some other lighting. The material has a translucent white base that reduces the need for a diffusing medium such as milk Plexiglas® between the image and the lightsource. Duraclear Display Films
These are backlit display transparencies produced from color negatives. They are typically used in the display and tradeshow industries for installation in light boxes. Dodging, burning, cropping, specific sizing, and color correcting are all done as a common practice. The lighting standard for backlit displays is Cool-White Deluxe fluorescent bulbs. We will correct color to this standard unless you tell us to use some other lighting. This material is brighter than Duratrans when sandwiched with milk Plexiglas®, which is required with this material since it is transparent. The image quality and color quality of Duraclear are superior to Duratrans, making this the obvious choice for maximum impact.

Duraflex Display Prints
These are color prints on a plastic base. They are made from color negatives. Burning, dodging, cropping, specific sizing, and color correcting are all done as a common practice. Since there is no paper in these prints, they endure a lot of abuse. No more dog-eared prints. This material is available only in Glossy finish. The image quality and color quality are superior to Type C Prints, which you may want to consider as an alternative.

Display Mounting, Laminating and Finishing Services
Usually, a little extra care at the end of the photo display process can make a big difference in the final presentation. We offer a wide ranging array of mounting substrates such as illustration board, masonite, Sintra®, foamcore and Gatorfoam®, styrene, Lexan®, & Plexiglas® etc. Decorative or black edges give mounted photos a very "finished" look, while rounded corners provide a smooth embellishment for eye-catching displays. Laminates help protect your display prints, enhancing the finish and durability.

Computer Retouching & Image Enhancement
Cuztom's technicians and state of the art electronic editing and imaging facilities are renown for the ultimate in quality reproduction of color photographic images on transparencies and negatives. We offer flawless, expert retouching to remove objectionable elements in your photos and enhancing those elements you want to emphasize. Special effects that are difficult or impossible to achieve in the darkroom is accomplished with precision and accuracy through computer manipulation of images and graphics. Scans are done using Howtek HiResolve 8000 drum scanning equipment from transparencies up to 8x10 and reflective material up to 8-1/2x11.

LVT Digital Output to Transparency & Negative Films
Cuztom usesDurst•Dice America's LVT film recorder for imaging color transparencies and negatives of unmatched quality. This device is somewhat like a scanner operating in reverse, "writing" light on the film pixel by pixel in RGB color space. We can read Mac, PC file formats and a wide variety of storage media. Since the LVT is a raster imaging device, Postscript layouts such as those from Quark Express, Adobe's Pagemaker, Illustrator & Persuasion, Macromedia's Freehand, Microsoft's PowerPoint, Corel Draw, Deneba's Canvas, etc. are rasterized (RIPPED) on Durst•Dice America's Cheetah RIP prior to exposure. There's no additional charge for this service.

Large Format Inkjet Digital Printing
Cuztom's large format Inkjet prints are excellent alternatives to photographic color prints in some cases. They have rapidly gained popularity for display and presentation purposes, with sizes up to 60" wide by 30 ft on a single panel. By tiling the image across multiple panels, immense displays can be produced.
For Inkjet printing Cuztom uses the latest Encad Novajet 500 & Novajet 700 printing equipment in conjunction with Postermaker from Wasatch Inc. We offer a variety of media on which to print including glossy and semi-glossy papers, vinyl and canvas media and translucent films for backlighting. Inkjet prints provide excellent color fidelity and rendition with vivid, saturated color that excels where photographic prints sometimes fail. Prints and translucencies can be mounted and laminated the same as our photographic Type C Products.

Personalized CD-ROM Recording & Archiving 
How are you protecting your valuable jobs on computer? CD-ROM archiving is a very secure way of keeping your job data readily available for the long term. Once files are written to a CD, they cannot be deleted or altered on the CD.
Cuztom routinely archives all final work on ultra-high speed AIT tape for a period of 1 year at no charge. But we can also archive your files on a CD-ROM that you keep in your possession. CD's come in several forms:
- Mac Compatible Only
- Mac-PC Compatible
- Mac-PC-Unix Compatible
You supply us with the files and directories arranged in the manner you want them to appear on the CD and we'll give you back your CD in a protective plastic jewel case with a printed listing of it's contents. It's clean, it's simple, and it works!
