ABA broadcasting planning seminar

The 1999 ABA Broadcasting Planning Seminar, "2001 - A Digital Odyssey" will be held at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra on 8 and 9 November.

This year’s seminar will have a distinctive digital flavour focusing on future developments and implementation issues. A highlight of the seminar will be the opportunity provided to professionals of government and non-government bodies to discuss issues surrounding broadcasting planning and innovations in broadcasting technology.

"As well as providing a much needed forum for the exchange of meaningful ideas, information and new technologies, the Broadcasting Planning Seminar is sure to entertain and stimulate the minds of all those who attend," said Professor David Flint, ABA Chairman.

The list of speakers at the seminar includes a range of highly respected professionals from both within the ABA and the broadcasting industry. They include Mr Malcolm Long, Principal, Communications Strategies and Management Pty Ltd, Mr Justin Milne, Manager of OzEmail Internet and Giles Tanner, General Manager ABA.

The seminar program contains a range of papers, focusing on both technical and policy issues and will provide an open forum where delegates will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and get the latest updates on new technologies.
