The use of computers in Education will continue to grow and teachers must be made ready to use them effectively. This means that educators must begin to understand that a computer has many uses. A computer is a book, a library, a telephone, a television, a radio, a slide projector, an encyclopedia, a newspaper, a museum, and dozens of other familiar things.

With it a teacher can prepare their students for a local field trip, present them with the latest scientific findings, or bring them along on a climb up a mountainside or on an expedition to the other side of the world or locally.

All curriculum areas can benefit with a little bit of the spice that the Internet provides. Be it Social Studies or science, special education or any curriculum area, new worlds are available for the student, the teacher or the parent.
