Citizen CPR Workshop

The number one medical emergency today is heart attack. What would you do if someone you loved, worked with or watched was having a heart attack? Would you know how to help immediately as well as get help quickly?

The Citizen CPR Workshop will teach you the following life sustaining skills in only four hours:

  1. How to recognize a heart attack;
  2. How to reduce the risk of having a heart attack;
  3. How to cope with your fears in responding to an emergency;
  4. How to get help quickly anywhere in Ontario;
  5. How to help someone that is choking;
  6. What to do when a person stops breathing or suffers a cardiac arrest;
  7. How to move people from different positions when resuscitating them;
  8. How to remember the rescue after the training.

The workshop, presented by Link To Life Seminars Inc., focuses on hands-on skills and group dialogue. the workshop uses role plays and a relaxed, but focused approach, to build awareness and confidence.

Each participant receives a reference book, audio cassette review tape, telephone label and certification in adult CPR (Heartsaver).

Those who should attend include spouses and family members of heart patients, heart patients and anyone interested in learning to help in an emergency.
