| NASA will host the 5th Annual JPL Space Science Symposium for Small Businesses in the high-tech industry. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), an operating division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), is a lead R&D center for NASA and receives an annual budget of approximately $1B dollars. Located in Pasadena, CA the Laboratory has a wide-ranging charter for solar system exploratory using robotic spacecraft.
Small businesses in the high-tech industry are invited to
attend this event at NASA Headquarters' Auditorium located at 300 E
Street S.W. in Washington, D.C. (Metro stop: Federal Center
S.W.)
REGISTRATION:
Begins at 8 a.m. followed by the Symposium Program (8:30 a.m. - 4:00

PURPOSE: This one-day
event is to introduce high-tech small businesses to JPL that may
lack the resources to market the Laboratory's high-tech requirements
in Southern California. The Laboratory is committed to doing
business with high-tech small businesses and seeks to expand its
supplier base for present and future technical requirements.
FOCUS: The Symposium is an interactive
and informative session highlighting JPL's and NASA's
Science-related programs and initiatives to potential small business
suppliers.

less) of company technical capabilities.

Directions from National Airport to NASA HQ:
A metrorail station is directly across the street from National Airport which is a great public transportation system. For about $1.10 (one way),
take the Yellow Line (Mt Vernon Square) to Metro Center. Transfer to the
Blue Line (Addison Road) and exit at Federal Center S.W.
At the street level, turn right and walk about a half-block,
walking under the overpass. At the corner, you will see a tall white
building to your immediate right. Cross the street and use the
entrance in the middle of the building.
