Provincial Meets

The FINA two-start rule is in effect at all provincial championship meets (Senior and Junior LC & SC Provincials, Team Championships)

Junior SC Provincials

March 2-5, 2000

Team Championships

April 21-23, 2000

Junior & SWAD Provincials (LC)

July 6-9, 2000

With the exception of LC Junior/SWAD Provincials, which will be held in Thunder Bay, hosts will be awarded at the Swim Ontario Board meeting prior to the AGM.

Provincial Tour Team

Due to circumstances beyond our control, plans for the tour team had to be changed. The team will now attend the Mel Zajac meet in May, will participate in the SNC training camp in Vancouver, and will travel to the Grand Prix in Gainesville, Fla., to compete.

2000 Winter Games

(March 16-19, 2000)

The 2000 Winter Games will be held in Sault Ste. Marie at the brand new pool facility. Regional Directors and Coaches' Representatives will receive information as soon as it becomes available.

Ages of Athletes:

13-18 on March 16, 2000

Maximum team size per region:

9 girls & 9 boys (able-bodied)

(Not qualified for current season's Nationals)

2 girls & 2 boys (SWAD)

2 coaches fully certified at level 2

1 team manager

1 master or senior official

Qualifying period:

Post January of 1998 short course times

Nepean Kanata Barracudas has issued invoices to all those who have failed to submit proof of time documentation for the SC Junior Provincials. Any outstanding amounts not settled prior to the AGM on May 2, 1999 will render clubs ineligible to vote at the meeting.

The following clubs have out-standing items with Swim Ontario. Any outstanding items not settled prior to the AGM on May 2, 1999 will render clubs ineligible to vote at the meeting. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard.

Outstanding Gold Bonus is for the month(s) of October 1998 to March 1999. Payment (including GST) should be sent to the Swim Ontario office immediately. A 2% late fee should be calculated for each 30-day period or part thereof, that the Gold Bonus is outstanding.
