"Dominate in 2008"
WHAT A NIGHT!
On Thursday, September 9th, at the Etobicoke Olympium 54 young athletes (12 & under) participated in the first "Dominate in 2008" relay challenge. The event was held in conjunction with National Swim Week and the launch of the I Can Swim program.
The relay teams were coached by members of Swim Ontario's alumni, the National Swim Team, Sears Canada and the Ministry of Citizenship, Culture & Recreation. Following the very exciting relay event, special guests, athletes and their families gathered in the Olympic Lounge and enjoyed presentations by the four National team members, Swim Ontario alumni, Sears Canada and the City of Toronto. The winning relay team was presented with the "Dominate in 2008" Cup sponsored by Omni Swim, and prizes from "I Can Swim". A barbecue dinner followed.
